Derek Heltzel joined Standard as a Partner in 2019. With an impressive real estate career spanning over a decade, Derek has gained extensive experience and a deep understanding of the intricacies of real estate law and the title and escrow process. His practice covers a broad spectrum of real estate matters, including residential and commercial transactions, property development, condominium conversions, and title examinations. Derek provides counsel to a diverse clientele, including individuals, businesses, and institutional entities.

As President of Standard’s Arizona branch, Derek plays a pivotal role in driving the company’s success and growth in the region. Derek oversees a team of skilled real estate professionals, fostering a collaborative environment where client satisfaction and excellence are paramount. Derek is an active member of the real estate community, in both Boston and Phoenix, maintaining memberships in professional organizations and staying updated on the latest industry trends and regulations.

Derek obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Boston College Law School and his undergraduate degree from Arizona State University. He is admitted to practice law in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Thomas joined Standard Title & Escrow in October 2023 as Partner and Senior Vice President of the Arizona Division.

Thomas played collegiate division 1 baseball before signing with the Arizona Diamondbacks as a right handed pitcher in 2013. Thomas holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from Grand Canyon University and an Associates Degree in Communications from Glendale Community College.

Thomas’s role as Senior Vice President is to head the sales and business development divisions here in Arizona. His goals are to expand and grow Standard Title & Escrow across the state as well as explore multi state expansions. Thomas specializes in agent and builder relations. He is passionate about assisting agents in their personal and business growth. He firmly believes in quality relationships and partnerships with his clients. Going the extra mile to not only provide the highest quality operational product, but the best overall title and escrow experience in the market.

Thomas currently lives in North Peoria, Arizona with his beautiful wife Shellie and his 4 children.

Zach joined Standard Title & Escrow in October 2020 as Vice President and head of the Arizona branch.

Zach attended Arizona State University and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy and Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Innovation Management.

Zach’s role as vice president is to bring innovation to the real estate title and escrow process and expand Standard Title & Escrow’s footprint in the Southwest, specifically in Arizona.

Zach currently lives in Peoria, Arizona with his identical twin boys.

Kasey is the Director of Escrow and Title Services for Standard Title & Escrow’s Arizona office. She joined Standard Title & Escrow in 2019 as a Senior Paralegal in the Massachusetts office. With over ten years of real estate experience in multiple states, she brings a wealth of knowledge to the team.

She earned her bachelor’s degree from Roanoke College in 2012 and her master’s degree in public policy from Georgetown University in 2022.

Angie brings 23 years of Escrow experience to Standard Title, working on a wide range of transactions. She began her career as an Escrow Receptionist in 2000 and with time moved into an officer position. She has handled a variety of escrow transactions including vacant land, HUD transactions, VA transactions, residential and refinance transactions. She held a position in management as the Escrow Office Manager for 2 years. Angie takes great pride in offering excellent customer service and enjoys working with her clients every step of the way. Being bilingual brings even more diversity and adds tremendous value. She is exceptional at ensuring that each party involved is informed throughout the process. Her professionalism and positive attitude provide a great level of support to the escrow team.
